HEALING YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOURSELF
Grounded in an understanding of neurodevelopment and the autonomic nervous system, we take a therapeutic approach that is both scientifically grounded and attuned to the brain's innate capacity for healing.
AREAS OF SUPPORT
You might know what it feels like to live with a stomach tightly knotted by anxiety, or to be blindsided by the sudden, terrifying chest-tightness of panic. For many, the after-effects from difficult experiences linger and you may be walking through the world on perpetual guard, always waiting for the next shoe to drop. When that engine runs on high for too long, it leads to total overwhelm—that heavy, flooded feeling where even a small task feels like a mountain, eventually collapsing into an exhausting stuckness or paralysis.
When your system is maxed out, it instinctively looks for ways to cope and protect itself. It might look like sudden flashes of white-hot anger or rage that feel completely out of proportion to the moment, or a strong pull toward escapism—checking out, numbing, or scrolling just to find a brief moment of peace. And because your system is working so hard to keep you safe, a perceived shift in a relationship can trigger an agonizing wave of Rejection Sensitivity. If you carry High Sensitivity or Deep Feeling Traits, you absorb your environment with the volume turned all the way up, making loud spaces, others' moods, and even your own internal waves feel incredibly intense.
Using a somatic and neurobiologically-informed lens, we don't try to "talk you out" of these physical reactions. Instead, we work gently with the body using tools like EMDR and somatic-informed care to help your nervous system finally process accumulated stress and lower the alarm. We honor the uniqueness of your brain by discovering the strategies that work best for you to manage life’s ongoing stress best. In these ways, we help your nervous system find its way back to a genuine, flexible and reliable sense of ease.
When Your Body is on High Alert
Supporting your nervous system and your physical response to chronic stress.
The stress and overwhelming seasons of our lives don't just stay in our thoughts—they take up residence in our bodies.
Anxiety, Panic, & Hypervigilance: Strategies for when your system feels "on edge," "revved up," or constantly on the lookout for the next drop.
Stress & Overwhelm: Navigating that heavy, exhausted feeling of having "too much on your plate" or shutting down completely.
Stuckness & Paralysis: Breaking through the frustrating cycles of procrastination where you feel like you are spinning your wheels but can't move forward.
The "Body-Side" of Stress: Working through the physical toll of chronic tension, sudden anger, fatigue, or just feeling "disconnected" from yourself.
HSP & Neurodivergence: Affirming tools for Highly Sensitive Persons (HSPs), ADHD, and High-Masking Autism who process the world deeply, intensely, and uniquely.
Healing Your Relationship with Yourself
Focusing on the internal narratives, stories, and "parts" that keep you stuck.
If you feel like your own worst critic, or you’re carrying a heavy weight of shame and "not-enoughness," we can work together to transform your internal world. Maybe it feels like nothing you do is ever enough, or you are simply tired, lost, and tired of hurting. Using therapies like IFS (Internal Family Systems) and attachment-focused EMDR, we help you understand the different parts of you—even the ones that show up as depression or a need for control—and gently guide them toward self-compassion, clarity, and relief.
Depression & Low Energy: Gently addressing the heavy weight, persistent shame, and exhaustion that come from a loud, relentless "inner critic."
Low Self-Esteem: Moving away from the constant feeling of "not being enough" and building a genuine, protective sense of self-compassion.
Obsessive-Compulsive Tendencies: Understanding the well-meaning parts of you that rely on strict control, perfectionism, or overthinking just to keep you feeling safe.
Low Life Satisfaction & Existential Distress: Exploring meaning, purpose, and the deeper "why" of your life when everything feels flat, empty, or directionless.
Rediscovering Your Spark: Identifying what is truly missing in your daily life so you can move from feeling lost to feeling anchored in who you are.
Navigating Life & Connection
Working through the challenges of relating to others and navigating the world around you.
Developmental and early life stress often show up most clearly in our adult relationships. Many of my clients are high-functioning adults who "grew up too fast" because they had to. When your early foundation involves relational gaps, chronic misattunement, or the exhausting effort of hiding your true self to appease your family or community, it leaves a lasting impact. Using a compassionate, attachment-focused lens and EMDR, we explore how your past maps onto your present—helping you break old patterns so you can build genuine, healthy connections.
Trauma & Post-Traumatic Stress: Safely processing difficult or overwhelming life experiences so they stop dictating your present-day reactions and triggers.
Relationship Stress & Attachment Concerns: Understanding why you feel "stuck" in certain relationship dynamics, overcoming unhelpful behaviors such as "people-pleasing", and learning how to navigate relationship challenges.
Parenting & Breaking Cycles: Gaining the tools to break old generational patterns, manage parental burnout, and stay grounded so you can show up fully for yourself and your children.
Loss & Grief: Creating a supportive, unhurried space to navigate the complex layers of all types of mourning, major life transitions, and identity shifts.
Neurodivergent-Related Trauma: Healing the unique, chronic stress, masking exhaustion, and shame that come from navigating a world built for neurotypical brains.
