Education

Continuing education and expert mentorship will always be vital. It sustains me and my practice. As the field continues to grow and innovate, my hope is to bring you the best care possible.

My graduate education includes a Master’s of Science in Social Work (clinical track) with a Certificate in Military Social Work from UT Austin. I focused on Interpersonal Neurobiology, Trauma, and Grief.

I completed training in EMDR therapy in 2021 with Christie Sprowls, Psy.D. in Austin, Texas. Since then I have participated in multiple consultation and study groups in order to effectively adapt and leverage EMDR to support a wide variety of needs and therapeutic goals.

Prior, I earned my BA from Smith College, a seven sisters college, where I studied Comparative Religion and Philosophy. I had a special interest in the anthropology and psychology of religion and the belief systems of the mystical and contemplative traditions. After graduating I spent a season living as a monastic in a Zen Buddhist monastery in Oregon. I warmly welcome folks from all belief systems and invite those contemplating the existential.
